About The Spooky Swamp at Stonebridge
Who is The Spooky Swamp suitable for?

The Spooky Swamp is a family-friendly Halloween experience, suitable for all and to be enjoyed by children and adults of all ages.

But do be aware, some of the installations may be unsuitable for some younger children. We therefore advise parents and guardians of this in advance of booking and their visit, and to use their discretion in deciding whether the attraction is suitable for any members of their family and group.

What are the dates of The Spooky Swamp?

Friday 22nd October through to Sunday 31st October 2021.

What are the start and finish times?

The Spooky Swamp will be open from 4:00pm until 10:00pm on each of the above dates, with the last ticket entry being at 9:00pm.

When should I arrive?

We advise that all our visitors should arrive approximately 15 minutes before their chosen arrival time slot.

How long should I spend at the event?

Please be mindful of the time you spend at the Spooky Swamp. Our event has been designed to avoid any unwanted build up of people in one place, so please stay in your household group, as make you away around our waterways. We expect our visitors to spend roughly one and a half hours exploring the Swamp.

How do I get here?

Our address is Stonebridge Golf Club, Somers Road, Meriden, postcode CV7 7PL.  Signage directing you to us will be in place at all the major road junctions close by.

The X1 Platinum Bus service to Coventry runs from Birmingham International Station to Meriden and takes approximately 9 minutes.  It is a twenty minute walk down Hampton Lane to the event.

Where do I park?

There is off-road parking available at Stonebridge and stewards will be on hand to direct you to the car parking areas when you arrive

Is car parking free?

Parking is not free and there is a small charge of £2.50 per vehicle. All vehicles must have a valid car parking ticket before coming to Stonebridge.  Please be aware that car parking at Stonebridge is limited and will be closely monitored by our parking and traffic teams.

What should I wear?

We advise all our visitors to wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear for the time of year.

Is the Trail dark or covered?

The Trail will be lit throughout, but will not be covered as this is an outdoor event. In many of the areas there will be amazing lighting and effects as part of the experience and our installations.

Are there any health and safety rules I should know about?

To ensure the safety of our visitors and staff, all visitors must remain on the clearly-marked Trail at all times. Please refrain from touching any of the installations, lights and electrical equipment. 

All children and vulnerable adults must be closely supervised at all times.  Stewards will be on hand throughout the trail should you require any assistance.

Will there be strobe/flashing lights?

There will be no strobe lights at Spooky Swamp, however there may be some moving and flashing lights to be aware of for those who are photosensitive.

Can Under 16s visit unaccompanied?

All visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied to Spooky Swamp by a responsible adult. Unaccompanied children under the age of 16 will not be permitted entry and no ticket refund will be given.

A standard ticket is required for all accompanying adults for children under the age of 16. Accompanying adults are also not permitted to wait within the Stonebridge grounds.  

There is a maximum of 3 young people for each accompanying adult, who must be of 21 years or over.

Are dogs permitted?

Sadly, no dogs are permitted at Spooky Swamp, except for any assistance dogs.

Are there loos on the Trail?

Yes, loos will be available by our Food Village marquee near to the entrance to the Swamp, and also along the Trail.

Can I take photographs and videos?

Yes , photos and videos are allowed, and please do share on our social media pages of Facebook and Instagram. Don’t forget to include our hashtags #TheSpookySwamp #EnterIfYouDare #AGatewayToAnotherWorld

Can I bring food and drink into the Spooky Swamp?

We kindly ask that you do not bring any food or drink with you to The Spooky Swamp.  We have an amazing variety of food available from our partners, The Digbeth Dining Club as well as lots to sample from our Halloween Bar, and plenty more. You can of course bring your own water bottles with you but we ask that no glass in brought into the event.

I have lost something during my visit. Do you have a lost property section?

Yes, there will be a lost property section in the Food Village marquee.

Can I bring my mobility scooter or are they provided?

Mobility scooters will not be available at The Spooky Swamp, however you are of course therefore welcome to bring your own, as long as it has working lights in use.

What provision do you make for visitors with mobility restrictions?

Whilst every effort is made to make the Trail fully accessible, some areas may be particularly challenging during inclement weather. In these circumstances there will be additional steward support available throughout the trail should you require any assistance. If you require a Carer to accompany you on your visit to Spooky Swamp, you can apply for a carer ticket here.

Is the site appropriate for prams?

Yes, and we shall of course be maintaining the Swamp throughout, but if the weather is bad there may well be muddy areas that appear here and there.

Can I bring a carer?

Accessible ticket holders are entitled to one free carer ticket for an essential carer/companion. Free carer tickets need to be booked in advance here.
